Would you benefit from ‘no-fault’ divorce reforms?

[ad_1]

New laws on “no-fault” divorce come into force next week in England and Wales that will give couples the chance to split without being obliged to assign blame to one party.

As well as helping couples lower the emotional temperature during the divorce process, it is hoped the rule change may reduce costs by defusing the risk of a combative and expensive legal battle.

FT Money is looking to speak to people who are going through a divorce or who have already parted ways to seek their views on whether the change is good news for separating couples.

Do you think “no-fault” reforms would have helped you get through the experience of a divorce? Or perhaps you are someone who has been holding out for the rules to change, in expectation of a smoother process.
