Yet her resilience shone through. “People would ask, ‘What are you going to do now?’ This is all I knew. I learned to live with less. Sold my big house, sold two cars, and kept one. I was super happy. Then I kept going, and I kept getting busier and busier.
“Today, I close over $300 million a year. For the past 10 years, I’ve never closed less than $100 million. So, I’ve doubled, and tripled, and quadrupled what I ever did when I was successful back in the day.
“But I’m not money motivated. I did it because I still love doing what I do every day. I love mortgages. I come to work every day. I love the art of the chase. I’m still involved in every deal. I tell people I’m a high-paid processor because I’m involved in every aspect of it, so that’s who I am.”
