Amazon’s Prime Day in October sale, officially called Prime Big Deal Days, is nearing the end of its second and final day. And we’re still seeing lots of great discounts, including several Prime Day soundbar deals.

If your TV’s built-in speaker isn’t getting the job done, a new soundbar can bring a major upgrade to your entertainment system. The best soundbars can be expensive, but the October Prime Day sale has found multiple picks from our best soundbars guide discounted.

Among the best Prime Day soundbar deals still available, Roku Streambar is down to $100, annd LG’s S80QR is a whopping 57% off.

Sony HT-A7000

The Sony HT-A7000 is a high-end soundbar that delivers impressive Dolby Atmos and virtual surround sound processing from a single-unit design, along with support for advanced gaming features. For Prime Day, it’s back down to its lowest price ever.

Roku Streambar 2020

The Roku Streambar is a compact soundbar and 4K streaming player in one convenient device. It’s currently available for $30 off. This deal doesn’t match the all-time low of $80 we saw last year, but it’s still a solid discount.

Bose Smart Soundbar 600

The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 is a compact audio device that lets you watch movies and TV shows with immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound. It also has Alexa built in. This $399 deal price matches the all-time low we saw briefly in September.

Vizio M-Series 2.1-Channel Soundbar (M215aw-K6)

This Vizio soundbar supports 2.1 channels of audio and virtual Dolby Atmos sound. It also includes a separate subwoofer for dedicated bass. This $170 deal matches the lowest price we’ve seen.

Vizio V-Series 2.0-Channel Soundbar

It lacks a separate subwoofer and advanced surround sound features, but buyers on a budget should definitely consider this simple 2-channel soundbar. Though we’ve seen it drop to as low as $50 on rare occasions, it’s still an excellent value at this deal price of $80.

LG S80QR 5.1.3-Channel Soundbar

LG’s S80QR is a beefy soundar system that features upfiring drivers for overhead audio, separate rear satellite speakers, and a subwoofer. For Prime Day, it’s more than 50% off, which brings it to a new record-low price of $447.

LG S75Q 3.1.2-Channel Soundbar

This LG soundbar system has built-in upfiring speakers for Dolby Atmos audio, as well as a subwoofer. This $297 Prime Day deal matches the all-time low.

Samsung HW-S61B 5-channel Soundbar

This single-unit soundbar system delivers 5 channels of audio and Dolby Atmos support. While it frequently goes on sale for $250, it’s down to a new all-time low price for Prime Big Deal Days.

Hisense 3.1.2Ch Dolby Atmos Soundbar

Hisense’s 3.1.2ch soundbar and speaker combo has never been cheaper than it is right now at $150 off. It comes ready to pair with Roku-enabled TVs and is fully compatible with Dolby Atmos.

Are soundbars worth it?

Compared to the tiny speakers built into most TVs, a good soundbar can provide a nice upgrade in audio quality without taking up all the extra space of a traditional home theater system. However, soundbars can vary a lot in size and performance, so you’ll want to find a model that best suits your needs.

For instance, a small single-unit soundbar will be best for buyers on a budget who want a truly compact audio solution. But bigger, more expensive soundbar systems will provide better sound quality. Some soundbar packages even include a separate subwoofer and satellite speakers to support deeper bass and genuine surround sound.

What is a Dolby Atmos soundbar?

Some soundbars support an audio format called Dolby Atmos. This advanced surround sound technology uses object-based mixing to enable a more enveloping sense of 3D audio. While traditional surround sound is typically limited to five or seven ear-level speakers, Dolby Atmos supports overhead audio effects to create a dome of sound.

Soundbars can support Dolby Atmos in one of two ways. The first method uses virtual processing to simulate a sense of height from regular ear-level speakers. The second method uses upfiring speakers that are angled up instead of forward. This lets the speaker bounce sound effects off your ceiling to make it seem as if audio is coming from above your ear. Good up-firing drivers can provide a more convincing sense of overhead audio than virtual processing can.
