Heather Kelly, who served as first senior vice president of advisory and strategic accounts at Allianz Life, has left the company, Allianz has confirmed. Kelly was responsible for the strategy, integration and growth of the firm’s RIA channel, as well as its broker/dealer partnerships.
“While we do not comment on specific personnel changes, Allianz Life recently made a small number of changes to our distribution leadership structure to better align with our strategic goals for new market growth,” said Brett Weinberg, a spokesman for Allianz. “We anticipate that these changes will help us to even better serve our clients as we continue to grow as an organization.”
Weinberg declined to say who would take on Kelly’s role. She reported to Chief Distribution Officer Eric Thomes.
Kelly declined to comment.
Prior to joining Allianz, Kelly was responsible for leading risk management at United Capital, which was acquired by Goldman Sachs in 2019. There, she built a platform for integrating insurance strategies into the planning process. She also has expertise in educating advisors and clients on how insurance-based products can augment global planning and financial stability.
