We’re rounding up all the best Prime Day deals for you through July 11 and 12. Amazon Music Unlimited — Amazon’s comprehensive music streaming service — is one of the best deals we’re seeing. In fact, we’re not even sure that’s the correct term here, given you won’t have to pay anything. 

Normally, Amazon Music Unlimited costs $8.99 per month for Prime members and $10.99 for non-members. But during Prime Day, new subscribers can enjoy four months free of one of the best music streaming services. 

However, you won’t be able to get this Prime Day deal if you’ve subscribed to Amazon Music Unlimited in the past, and you’ll see an error message instead. For those lucky enough to be brand new listeners, Amazon will begin debiting your account after four months, but you can always cancel the service before then if you’re unsatisfied.

Immense value for HiFi music streaming music 

Amazon Music Unlimited may not be the prodigious pick among a host of music streaming platforms, but it’s a robust service that provides good value for money, especially with the current deal.

Although other services like Spotify and Tidal (read our Tidal HiFi streaming review) occupy different ends of the price and feature spectrum, Amazon Music Unlimited successfully combines reasonable costs with quality features and a deep music catalog. For instance, Tidal’s schtick is that it has the largest library of hi-fidelity tunes, but Music Unlimited bears an impressively sizable library of more than 75 million “HD” songs (lossless CD quality) and over 7 million “Ultra HD” songs (up to 24-bit, 192 kHz bitrate). They don’t all match the highest level of audio quality you’ll find on Tidal, but unless you’re an aficionado sniffing out nuanced notes in grandiose symphonic compositions, you probably won’t notice. And if you are that type, you can probably afford the $1,000 pair of headphones needed to fully enjoy it that Tidal’s $20 monthly charge doesn’t sting.

In addition, Amazon Music Unlimited offers thousands of tracks with spatial audio enhancements powered by Dolby Atmos and 360 Reality Audio, compatible with virtually any pair of headphones and select smart speakers. The best tracks of that ilk envelop you in sound to make you feel like you’re actually attending a concert.

Amazon has a vast selection spanning decades of genres and artists. Whether you enjoy chart-topping pop hits, thumping hip hop, bluesy jazz sessions, or timeless classical pieces, Amazon Music Unlimited probably has it. However, if your taste is super niche, you might find a few gaps.

We could spend many more words delving into all the other industry-standard benefits Amazon Music Unlimited has, but the best way to figure out whether it’s right for you is to try it. For a grand total of $0 for the privilege, there’s no reason not to.
